With a new year just around the corner, I have been putting some thought into what photography projects I want to run and what personal photography goals I want to achieve over the next twelve months.
Having spent the last two years going to car shows and local meets with car groups and forums, I have met so many interesting people and I wanted to find a way of integrating that into some of my work. I also wanted to take some inspiration from the likes of the 365 project to keep me focused on my target, but wanted something far less time dependent and demanding!
With that in mind I have decided to run my own project, “Twelve of twenty16”. Over the next twelve months, starting in January, I will be aiming to meet and interview, once a month, the owners of cars that I find interesting, or are special in their own way and to provide you with a blog about them.
I want to try and spend the year painting a picture through my photography and blog posts of the various passions and themes that run through the car enthusiasts community.
I want to try various photography techniques, try new equipment and different editing styles throughout the process to try and tell each car and owners individual story.
I have already started to do some of the background work and set in various photo shoots to happen in the new year. I have also been fortunate enough to already complete one of the shoots ready for January’s post. I am looking forward to telling you more about this 1976 Ford Escort featured in this post.
I look forward to you joining me on this project and hope that I can see it though to the bitter end!
